I recently stayed at the Ancasa Hotel in Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur, for five nights (Dec 2024- Jan 2025) Overall, my experience was sufficiently great, though there were a few areas for improvement as I observed. The room was clean and comfortable, but it was noticeably smaller than what was depicted in the images on Booking.com and Google Maps. Housekeeping was consistent, except on the third day when I had to call three times to get the room cleaned. The WiFi service was reliable for the most part, but I did experience occasional drops in reception in certain areas of the hotel. Additionally, when using multiple devices (a laptop and two smartphones in my case), there was some lag when streaming videos or watching YouTube. The staff were polite and attentive, addressing all my requests promptly. When moving it was observed that the lifts and lift lobby could get quite crowded and busy, especially during peak times. It required some patience or careful timing to avoid long waits. A standout feature for me was the bed—both the mattress and pillows were soft and provided a comfortable night’s rest without any neck or shoulder pain in the morning. Additionally, the hotel’s location is excellent, being close to the vibrant night street markets and the Plaza Rakyat train station. Despite a few inconveniences, I would stay here again for its convenience and comfort.

First impressions after entering this hotel, the main lobby looks grand, having a double and half height ceiling, left is cafe restaurant, and right is waiting lounge with piano display, if sometime can have people play it, it will be fantastic. Reception front service staff, she is very friendly and helpful, teach me how to do self-check-in with paying credit card also. Most of the guests staying are medium high and high level, Malay, India, China, Europe and maybe from Saudi also have. About the location and room, I think no need for me to explain much on this, because plenty of you, have explained it, which the answer is Great and Clean. All the staff here, they have done a good job.

The Hotel is a perfect position for travelers, just a few step from the Puduraya bus station with bus from and to the both terminal 1 and 2. Close to Chinatown and walking distance to the main shopping mall in Bukit Bintang like Pavillion and many others. Near by there is a Chinese Hospital for any emergency. I make some trouble with the reservation but the stuff at the reception are kind and after that the manager come and in 1 minute she find the solution of my mistakes, very skillful and extremely professional.

Location is everything, very near to Jalan Petaling, Railway station. I stayed at the hotel 15 years ago (under a different hotelname) and at the time there was a sanitary problem. So i was a little scared when I arrived and found out it was the same hotel under a different name. However the problem seems to have been handled properly (i stayed in two different rooms) and am very happy the hotel is meeting all requirements a frequent traveller has.
